Snowmobile Thin Ice Breakthrough sy Avalanche Airbag Safety¶
Emergency numbers differ by country. This page uses 911, the number for the United States and Canada. Many other countries use 112, 999, or another number. Find the number for your country.
Riding a snowmobile through winter backcountry terrain exposes you to two rapid emergencies: breaking through frozen lake ice into freezing water, and triggering a slab avalanche on a mountain slope. Both scenarios demand immediate physical reactions before cold shock, hypothermia, or snow burial prevents survival.
Ataovy izao izao¶
If your snowmobile breaks through ice into freezing water:
- Abandon the machine immediately. Let the snowmobile sink. Never try to steer or save a sinking 250-kilogram (550-pound) snowmachine.
- Control your breathing. Cold shock triggers an involuntary gasp reflex lasting 60 seconds. Keep your mouth closed above water and force slow exhalations.
- Turn back toward the direction you came. The ice behind you supported your machine moments earlier. It is the strongest ice available.
- Deploy your ice picks. Grab the handheld ice awls worn around your neck. Plant the metal spikes firmly into the ice surface.
- Kick your legs horizontally. Flutter kick your legs vigorously to bring your lower body to the water surface, reducing dragging weight.
- Pull and roll onto the ice shelf. Pull with your arms while kicking. Slide your chest onto the ice, crawl forward on your stomach, and roll horizontally away from the hole.
If you trigger or encounter an avalanche on a mountain slope:
- Pull your avalanche airbag trigger immediately. Grip the handle on your shoulder strap and yank down firmly on the first sign of snow cracking.
- Abandon the snowmobile to avoid pinning. Push yourself uphill or sideways off the running boards. A tumbling snowmobile can crush or drag you under.
- Fight to stay on top of the moving debris. Use an aggressive backstroke or swimming motion with your arms and legs to keep your head above the snow surface.
- Esory ny paosin-drivotra alohan'ny hitsaharan'ny lanezy. Rehefa mihena ny avalanche dia apetaho eo amin'ny oronao sy ny vavanao ny sandry iray. Mipetraka toy ny simenitra ny lanezy ao anatin'ny segondra vitsy.
- Tsio ny tanana na ny tanana mankeo ambonin'ny tany. Atsofohy ny rantsambatana iray miakatra mankamin'ny rivotra mba hanomezana lasibatra hitan'ny mpamonjy voina.
- Mitsitsy ny famatsiana oksizeninao. Rehefa mijanona ny hetsika dia mitony ary mifoka rivotra moramora. Mandany oksizenina ny kiakiaka rehefa milevina raha tsy maheno mpamonjy voina mivantana eo ambony.
Critical: Inona no TSY atao
- Aza mitsangana eo ambonin'ny ranomandry avy hatrany rehefa avy misintona ny tenanao avy ao anaty rano. Mijoroa dia mampifantoka ny lanjanao amin'ny dian-tongotra kely roa, izay mamakivaky ny talantalana ranomandry manify ary manindrona anao ao anaty rano.
- Do not attempt to ride the throttle over a widening ice crack. Snowmobiles sink bow-first within seconds once flotation is lost, trapping your legs beneath the handlebars.
- Do not hesitate to deploy an avalanche airbag backpack. Backcountry riders frequently delay pulling the handle because they hope the slide will stop or fear the cost of refilling compressed air cylinders.
- Do not hold onto a tumbling snowmobile during an avalanche. A machine weighing over 250 kilograms (550 pounds) acts as an anchor in moving snow, dragging you into the deepest debris layer.
- Do not discard heavy insulated clothing while submerged in ice water. Winter parkas and flotation jackets trap insulating air and provide positive buoyancy during the first 10 minutes of immersion.
- Do not rub frostbitten skin or apply direct intense heat to frozen limbs. Rapid uncontrolled thawing damages blood vessels and causes severe tissue necrosis.
Ny fizika fandrefesana ranomandry, cascade biolojika ary fitaovana¶
Mitondra risika faran'izay mafy ny fampiasana fiarandalamby amin'ny rano mangatsiaka satria miovaova ny hatevin'ny ranomandry tsy misy fampitandremana hita maso. Mampihena ny firafitry ny ranomandry ny korian-drano miafina, ny loharano mafana, ny havoana fanerena, ary ny lanezy manafina. Ny fahatakarana ny fizika ranomandry sy ny dingana fandrobohana rano mangatsiaka dia manome fototra ho an'ny fahatafintohinana.
Ny fandaharam-potoana fahaveloman'ny rano mangatsiaka 1-10-1¶
Rehefa mitsambikina amin'ny ranomandry ny fiarandalamby iray, dia miankina amin'ny fanarahana ny fandaharam-potoana fandrotsahana rano mangatsiaka 1-10-1 napetraky ny physiologists amin'ny rano mangatsiaka ny fahavelomanao:
- Dingana 1: Valin'ny fahatafintohinana mangatsiaka (60 segondra voalohany). Ny fampangatsiahana haingana ny hoditra dia miteraka sempotra tsy fidiny arahin'ny hyperventilation mahery vaika. Ny rano mifoka mandritra ny reflexe gasp voalohany dia miteraka rendrika avy hatrany. Tsy maintsy manakombona ny vavanao ianao, tohero ny tahotra, ary mandany ity minitra feno hanamafisana ny fofonainao ity.
- Dingana 2: Ny tsy fahazakana mangatsiaka (10 minitra manaraka). Ny rano mangatsiaka dia mitondra angovo mafana lavitra ny vatana 25 heny haingana noho ny rivotra mangatsiaka. Ao anatin'ny 5 ka hatramin'ny 10 minitra, ny vasoconstriction periferika dia mangatsiatsiaka ny hozatra sy ny nerveuse amin'ny tendrony. Mihena hatramin'ny 80 isan-jato ny tanjaky ny gripa, manafoana ny fahafahanao mitazona vatomamy na misintona ny tenanao. Tsy maintsy atao mandritra ity varavarankely ity ny fanavotana ny tena.
- Dingana 3: Hypothermie klinika (1 hatramin'ny 2 ora). Hypothermie, voafaritra ho latsaka ambanin'ny 35 °C (95 °F), dia mitaky 30 hatramin'ny 60 minitra amin'ny olon-dehibe manao akanjo ririnina. Raha mijanona eo ambonin'ny rano ny lalan-drivotrao amin'ny alàlan'ny palitao flotation, dia afaka mahatsiaro tena mandritra ny adiny iray ianao na dia levona aza ny fifehezana maotera.
- Dingana 4: Firodanan'ny circum-rescue. Mandritra na aorian'ny fitrandrahana, ny fihenan'ny tosi-dra tampoka na ny arrhythmia ventricular dia mety hiteraka fijanonan'ny fo. Ny ra mangatsiaka miverina avy amin'ny tendrony mankany amin'ny fototry ny fo dia miteraka fibrillation ventricular. Ny mpamonjy voina dia tsy maintsy mikarakara ireo niharam-boina amin'ny fomba mitsivalana.
Ny dinamika lanja amin'ny snowmobile sy ny mekanika tsy fahombiazan'ny ranomandry¶
Milanja eo anelanelan'ny 200 kilao (440 pounds) sy 320 kilao (705 pounds) maina ny fiarandalamby maoderina iray. Ny fanampiana solika, entana ary mpitaingina olon-dehibe dia miteraka enta-mavesatra miasa eo anelanelan'ny 320 kilao (705 pounds) sy 480 kilao (1,058 pounds).
Rehefa mamakivaky ranomandry ny fiarandalamby iray, dia miteraka onjan-tsipìka hydrodynamic ao ambanin'ny tany. Raha mandeha eo anelanelan'ny 15 km/ora (9 mph) ka hatramin'ny 35 km/ora (22 mph) ny milina, dia mifanandrify amin'ny hafainganam-pandehan'ny fiara ny hafainganam-pandehan'ny onjan-drano. Ity resonance ity dia manamafy ny adin-tsaina mihodinkodina, mampitresaka ny ranomandry izay mety hanohana milina iray tsy mihetsika.
Karazan-drafitra gilasy:
- Clear blue or black ice. Formed by slow freezing of calm water. This is the strongest ice type. A minimum uniform thickness of 13 cm to 18 cm (5 to 7 inches) is required for a single snowmobile.
- Lamandry fotsy na ranomandry. Miforona rehefa feno ranomandry amin'ny rano eo ambonin'ny takelaka gilasy ary mivaingana indray. Misy rivodoza voafandrika, ny ranomandry fotsy dia tsy manana afa-tsy 50 isan-jaton'ny tanjaky ny ranomandry mazava. Ny hateviny ilaina dia avo roa heny amin'ny 26 sm hatramin'ny 36 sm (10 hatramin'ny 14 santimetatra).
- Slush and river ice. Ice over moving currents is eroded underneath. Invisible voids and currents make river ice up to 75 percent weaker than lake ice of equal thickness.
Ny raikipohy Gold dia manome tombana ara-teknika manara-penitra ho an'ny fahafaha-mitondra ranomandry amin'ny farihy matanjaka:
In this formula, \(h\) represents ice thickness in inches, \(W\) is total load in tons (2,000 pounds per ton), and \(C\) is a safety factor. For continuous snowmobile travel over ice of known quality, conservative guidelines require a safety factor \(C\) of 7 to 8, verifying that an operating load of 0.4 tons (800 pounds) demands at least 13 cm (5 inches) of clear, unbroken blue ice.
Step-by-step ice self-rescue and partner extraction¶
Falling through ice into dark, sub-zero water is disorienting. Heavy boots, snowmobile suits, and helmets feel heavy. Trapped air inside a snowmobile suit provides positive buoyancy for several minutes. Wet fabrics trap a thin boundary layer of water that retards heat loss.
Protocol 1: Individual self-rescue using ice picks¶
- Orient your body toward the entry direction. As soon as you surface, turn 180 degrees. The ice hole edge you just crossed supported your machine moments earlier. The ice ahead is thin and unstable.
- Deploy ice awls from your chest. Never carry ice picks inside pockets or backpacks. Wear them draped around your neck or strapped to wrists. Grasp both handles firmly.
- Apetraho lalina ao anaty talantalana ny pitiky. Mandrosoa eo amin'ny ranomandry mafy. Kapohy midina amin'ny sakan'ny soroka ireo teboka. Tsindrio midina midina amin'ny alàlan'ny axis mitsangana amin'ny spike fa tsy misintona mivoaka amin'ny sisin'ny talantalana.
- Adopt a horizontal swimming trim. Do not climb out vertically like climbing a pool ladder. A vertical pull forces your chest against the ice lip. Extend your legs behind you and flutter kick vigorously.
- Coordinate the pull with the kick. Kick hard with your boots to drive your hips to the water surface. As your torso flattens, pull your upper body forward onto the ice shelf with the awls. Slide forward like a seal onto an ice floe.
- Maintain belly contact and roll. Once your stomach clears the ice lip, do not stand up. Keep limbs spread wide to distribute your weight. Roll sideways across the ice for at least 15 meters (50 feet) before crawling.
Protocol 2: Self-rescue without ice picks¶
If you break through without ice awls, self-rescue is harder because wet ice offers almost zero friction:
- Form a supporting shelf with your arms. Rest your forearms flat on the ice. If temperatures are below -10 °C (14 °F), letting wet sleeves freeze to the ice for 30 seconds provides slight grip.
- Mandehana mihemotra. Atsipazo eny amin'ny tany ny tongotrao rehefa manindry midina amin'ny ranomandry miaraka amin'ny tratranao sy ny sandrinao.
- Mampiasà lakile na kojakoja vy. Mandeha fanalahidy, fitaovana am-paosy, na fehin-kibo ao anaty ranomandry mba hamoronana tsipika fividianana kely.
- Vakio ny ranomandry manify mankamin'ny tohana mafy. Raha mirodana ny molotra gilasy dia tohizo ny famakivakiana ny ranomandry malemy mankamin'ny morontsiraka na ny lalan'ny fidiranao mandra-pahatongan'ny ranomandry mafy izay mihazona ny vatanao.
Protocol 3: Rescuing a submerged riding partner¶
Rescuing a companion carries high risk. Rescuers frequently approach too close, break through the compromised ice, and become secondary victims.
- Maintain standoff distance. Park all remaining snowmobiles at least 30 meters (100 feet) away. Engine vibrations can trigger secondary fractures.
- Call emergency dispatch immediately. Contact emergency services (911 in the United States and Canada, 112 in Europe, 999 in the United Kingdom). Transmit exact GPS coordinates from your sled or satellite communicator.
- Use the Preach, Reach, Throw, Row sequence. Never walk to the edge of the hole.
- Preach: Direct the victim to face their entry path, plant picks, and kick horizontally.
- Reach: Lie prone on the ice. Extend a rigid object like a tow strap, tree limb, ski, or shovel shaft.
- Throw: Toss a floating throw line or life jacket tied to a strap across the victim's chest.
- Row or Go: Entering the water is a last resort restricted to trained rescuers wearing dry suits and safety tethers.
- Distribute your mass. If crawling toward the victim with a reach pole, lie flat on an emergency rescue sled or crawl spread-eagled across the ice.
Post-extraction emergency care: preventing the afterdrop¶
Getting out of freezing water is only the first half of survival. Once exposed to sub-zero ambient air, wind chill accelerates body cooling, leading to fatal hypothermia within minutes if improper rewarming procedures occur.
The physiological afterdrop mechanism¶
Afterdrop occurs when cold blood from stagnant peripheral tissues in the legs and arms circulates back into the body core during improper rewarming or active movement. This cold blood drops heart core temperature by an additional 1 °C to 3 °C (2 °F to 5 °F), triggering ventricular fibrillation.
- Keep the patient horizontal and immobile. Minimize physical movement. Do not allow the rescued rider to walk, stand, run, or perform physical exercises to warm up. Muscle contractions force cold peripheral blood into the heart.
- Shield from wind immediately. Wind chill strips heat faster than calm air. Build an immediate snow cave, pitch a four-season bivy shelter, or position running snowmobiles as a windbreak upwind of the victim.
- Strip wet clothing gently while sheltering. Cut clothing away if joint manipulation requires violent movement. Replace wet layers immediately with dry wool, fleece, down garments, or sleeping bags.
- Create a vapor barrier. Wrap the victim inside a vapor barrier: place a space blanket or plastic tarp around the dry insulation, followed by an outer windproof bivy shell. This traps thermal energy and halts evaporative heat loss.
- Apply warm, dry packs to the core only. Place chemical heat packs or warm water bottles wrapped in cloth on the chest, armpits, and groin. Never apply heat packs to the legs, arms, hands, or feet. Warming the extremities dilates peripheral vessels and accelerates afterdrop.
- Provide warm, sweet fluids only if fully alert. If the patient is conscious, swallowing normally, and speaking coherently, administer warm sugary tea or broth. Never give alcohol, caffeine, or hot drinks to an unconscious patient.
Avalanche dynamics on snowmobile terrain¶
Mountain snowmobiles allow riders to climb extreme slopes between 30 and 45 degrees, precisely where destructive slab avalanches release. Snowmobilers represent a high fatality demographic in backcountry avalanche accidents.
The physics of snowmobile-triggered slab avalanches¶
A slab avalanche occurs when a cohesive layer of snow rests on top of a weak, collapsible foundation layer like surface hoar or depth hoar. When external stress exceeds the shear strength of the weak layer, fracture initiates and propagates across the mountain face at speeds exceeding 300 km/h (186 mph).
A rider and high-powered mountain snowmobile exert dynamic point loads far higher than a skier:
- Static load: Snowmobile plus rider equals 350 kg to 450 kg (770 to 990 pounds).
- Dynamic trenching load: When carving, climbing, or sidehilling, the spinning track excavates snow down to 60 cm to 100 cm (24 to 39 inches), transmitting mechanical vibrations directly into buried weak layers.
- Remote triggering: Because snowmobiles cover vast terrain quickly, riders often trigger weak layers from the bottom of a slope, from flat benches below a hanging slab, or across interconnected ridgelines hundreds of meters away.
Avalanche airbag systems: mechanics and physics¶
Avalanche airbag backpacks are specialized safety systems designed to prevent complete burial during a moving snow slide. Airbags do not float on top of snow like a life jacket on water. They operate on the principle of granular convection, commonly known as the Brazil nut effect.
The physics of granular convection (inverse segregation)¶
In an active avalanche, moving debris behaves as a granular fluid. As tumbling snow shatters downhill, mechanical shaking sorts particles by physical volume:
- Small snow particles slip through voids beneath larger objects during movement.
- This downward percolation forces larger objects upward toward the surface.
- An avalanche airbag system inflates a durable balloon expanding volume by 150 liters (5.3 cubic feet).
- By increasing physical volume without adding heavy mass, the airbag causes moving debris to force the rider toward the snow surface.
Comparison of deployment systems¶
Backcountry riders choose between three distinct airbag activation technologies: compressed gas canisters, pyrotechnic inflators, and high-speed electric fan systems.
| TECHNOLOGY | Inflation Mechanism | Refill Method | Cold Temp Performance | Airline Travel Clearance | Multiple Deploys |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Compressed Gas (Air/Nitrogen) | Mechanical cable punctures seal on high-pressure cylinder (200-300 bar). | Certified dive shop, paintball shop, or factory swap. | Gas pressure drops slightly in sub-zero cold; reliable mechanical puncture. | Difficult. Canisters must be emptied or checked under strict ICAO rules. | No. One deployment per canister. |
| Pyrotechnic Gas Generator | Electronic handle fires small squib to release cold expansion gas. | Factory replacement of trigger handle and cylinder. | Reliable in extreme sub-zero conditions (-30 °C / -22 °F). | Restricted. Regulated as hazardous goods on commercial passenger flights. | No. Single use per service cycle. |
| Electric Fan (Supercapacitors) | High-capacity brushless motor spins at 50,000 RPM powered by supercapacitors. | Recharges in 20 to 40 minutes via USB-C or AA batteries. | Consistent performance to -30 °C (-22 °F); no pressure loss. | Fully approved for air travel; no pressurized tanks or pyrotechnics. | Yes. Allows multiple practice runs in the field on one charge. |
Avalanche deployment protocol and survival actions¶
When an avalanche breaks on a mountain slope, survival depends on instant, rehearsed actions. The window between initial fracture and total immobilization in the runout zone is typically 10 to 30 seconds.
Protocol 1: Immediate trigger deployment¶
- Pull the trigger on the first cue. If you hear a settling sound, feel snow drop under your track, or see tension fractures, pull the handle immediately. Modern electric packs allow free practice deployments at home. Never wait to confirm if the slide is large.
- Use an aggressive downward grip. Wrap your glove around the shoulder-strap handle and yank downward with full force. Do not release until you hear gas discharge or the electric fan spool up.
- Confirm the airbag inflates. The airbag must inflate to 150 liters (5.3 cubic feet) within 3 seconds. The balloon provides trauma shielding for your head and neck against debris.
Protocol 2: Abandoning the machine¶
Backcountry snowmobilers frequently perish while still gripping the handlebars:
- Kick off the running boards. A snowmobile weighs between 200 kg and 320 kg (440 to 705 pounds). In moving debris, the heavy chassis sinks and tumbles violently. Trapped boots drag you into lower shear layers, crushing your chest.
- Shove the machine away. Push the sled downhill or sideways as you leap off the uphill running board.
- Fight toward the slide flank. If traveling across the slope, use momentum to roll toward the outer slab boundary. Avalanche flanks have lower speed and shallower debris depth than the center.
Protocol 3: Fiarovana ny fikorianan'ny fako mihetsiketsika¶
- Backstroke swimming motion. Fight moving snow with an aggressive backstroke while kicking. This motion, combined with the inflated airbag, boosts granular convection and keeps your chest near the surface.
- Protect your breathing airway. Snow forced into your mouth creates a suffocation plug even if unburied. Keep your mouth firmly shut.
- Create an air pocket as motion slows. When debris decelerates, you have 2 to 3 seconds before snow locks solid. Cup an arm over your mouth and nose to carve a 0.5-liter (30-cubic-inch) cavity. Expand your chest with a deep inhalation; when snow sets, exhaling creates room for your rib cage to breathe.
- Thrust a hand toward the surface. If oriented, push one hand upward. An exposed glove reduces search times from 45 minutes to under 3 minutes.
- Mitsitsy oksizenina. Ataovy mafy toy ny simenitra ny lanezy. Mandany rivotra sarobidy ny fandoroana na ny fitabatabana. Mijanòna ary henoy ireo transceiver an'ny mpamonjy voina.

Antsoy ny 999 na 112 ary angataho ny Police Mountain Rescue mba hanatona ny polisy any amin'ny faritra. Ny Sportscotland Avalanche Information Service dia mamoaka isa isan'andro ho an'ny faritra tendrombohitra avo enina.
In Australia and New Zealand¶
Voafetra amin'ny fikojakojana toeram-pitsangatsanganana ski, fanofana klioba, ary famonjena alpine ny dia. Antsoy ny 000 any Aostralia (angataho ny Polisy Alpine Search and Rescue) na 111 any New Zealand. Ny Filan-kevitry ny fiarovana an-tendrombohitra any Nouvelle-Zélande dia namoaka bulletin avalanche ho an'ny faritra atsimon'i Alpes.
Fanontaniana apetraka matetika¶
Hanakana ahy tsy hivoaka avy ao anaty lavaka gilasy ve ny fanaovana kitapo?¶
Ny kitapo mavesatra feno fitaovana matevina dia afaka misintona anao hidina ary mametra ny fivezivezen'ny soroka mandritra ny fanavotana ny tenanao amin'ny ranomandry. Ny kitapom-baravarankely avalanche misy fonon-tsavony mihidy na efi-trano mifofotra dia manome fientanam-po tsara fa tsy misintona anao. Raha mamaky ny ranomandry ianao rehefa manao fonon-tsela manara-penitra izay tsy misy fientanam-po, dia sokafy avy hatrany ny fehikibo andilany sy ny fehin-tratra mba hialana amin'ny fonosana raha toa ka manakana ny daka miakatra eo amin'ny talantalana ranomandry izany.
Tokony hiezaka hisintona ny fiarandalamby avy ao anaty rano ve aho raha toa ka miditra amin'ny antsasa-manila fotsiny?¶
Aza manavotra milina izay rendrika amin'ny ranomandry tapaka. Ny vesatry ny snowmobile dia hanimba tampoka ny fitoeran-dranomandry, hitarika anao any ambanin'ny rano ao ambanin'ny chassis. Mialà avy hatrany amin'ny tany mafy. Mariho ny fandrindrana ny GPS ary mifandraisa amin'ny ekipa mpamonjy voina matihanina miaraka amin'ny vinches sy ny tatavia flotation.
Firy ny taham-pahavelomana ho an'ireo tra-boina amin'ny avalanche miaraka amin'ny kitapom-baravarankely?¶
Ny fanadihadiana ara-statistika navoakan'ny mpikaroka momba ny fiarovana ny avalanche dia manondro fa ny fampiasana kitapom-basy avalanche dia mampihena ny taham-pahafatesan'ny fidiran'ny avalanche tsikera avy amin'ny 22 isan-jato ka hatramin'ny 11 isan-jato. Ny antony voalohany mahafaty amin'ny fametrahana airbag tsy azo iainana dia ny trauma ara-batana azo avy amin'ny fikapohana hazo, hantsana, na ny milina mandritra ny fidinana, na fandevenana tanteraka eo ambanin'ny fandrika be dia be toy ny hantsana na hantsana izay tsy ahafahan'ny convection mivolombola mitazona ilay niharam-boina ho ambonin'ny haavon'ny ranomandry.
Afaka mandeha soa aman-tsara miampita ranomandry ve aho raha toa mivaingana tanteraka ny tany?¶
Tsy azo antoka ho an'ny fiarandalamby mihitsy ny ranomandry. Ny rano mikoriana ao ambanin'ny ranomandry dia manimba tsy an-kijanona ny ilany ambany amin'ny takelaka, ka miteraka fiovaovana mahery vaika amin'ny hatevin'ny halavirana metatra vitsivitsy. Ny fiovaovan'ny haavon'ny rano dia miteraka elanelana misy rivotra eo anelanelan'ny rano sy ny ranomandry, ka manimba ny fahafaha-mitondra entana. Miampita lalan-drano hatrany amin'ny tetezana mandeha amin'ny oram-panala voatendry, voakarakara na fiampitana lalana efa nohamarinina mialoha.
Ahoana no hanafanana ny mpiara-miombon'antoka mitaingina izay nianjera tamin'ny ranomandry raha lavitra ny fialofana isika?¶
Tehirizo mitsivalana ilay niharam-boina mba hisorohana ny rotsak'orana ary arovany amin'ny rivotra ao ambadiky ny rindrin'ny ranomandry na ny sled. Esory ny akanjo lena ary amboary amin'ny sosona maina avy amin'ny kitapom-bary. Fonosy bodofotsy toerana vonjy taitra sy gony bivy ny vatany, avy eo dia asio fonosana hafanana amin'ny fotony ihany. Manamboara afo eo amin'ny lampihazo sampana mba tsy hilentika ao anatin'ny ranomandry.
Fanamarinana fanampiana voalohany¶
Mila fahaiza-manao ara-pitsaboana azo ampiharina izay tsy azo fehezina amin'ny alalan'ny boky iray fotsiny ny fivelomana amin'ny firobohan'ny rano ambanin'ny zero, ny hypothermie mafy, ary ny ratram-pon'ny avalanche any an-tanindrazana. Raha mitaingina fiarandalamby ianao, mandeha mamakivaky farihy mangatsiaka, na mikaroka terrain alpine, dia fenoy ny taranja Wilderness First Aid na Wilderness First Responder voamarina amin'ny alàlan'ny mpamatsy toy ny Red Cross, Wilderness Medical Associates, na NOLS Wilderness Medicine. Raiso ny taranja Avalanche Field Level 1 na ny Companion Rescue izay eken'ny American Avalanche Association na Avalanche Canada mba hifehezana ny fikarohana beacon, angady stratejika ary ny fikarakarana eny an-tsaha.
