Windows Blue Screen (BSOD) and Boot Repair¶
A Windows Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) or automatic bootloop indicates a critical system kernel fault, corrupt device driver, hardware incompatibility, or corrupted system file. Structured diagnostic steps restore Windows stability.
Step 1: Accessing Windows Advanced Startup (WinRE)¶
If Windows fails to boot three consecutive times, Windows Environment (WinRE) triggers automatically: 1. Turn off your PC completely by holding the power button for 5 seconds. 2. Turn on the PC and hold the power button for 5 seconds as soon as the Windows logo appears to force a shutdown. Repeat this process 3 times. 3. On the third restart, Windows will display the Preparing Automatic Repair screen, followed by Advanced Options.
Step 2: Running Automatic Startup Repair¶
- From the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot > Advanced Options.
- Select Startup Repair. Windows will scan system boot configuration data (BCD) and registry hives to fix boot errors automatically.

- Navigate to Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart.
- Upon reboot, press 4 or F4 on your keyboard to enable Safe Mode.
